Biography
Brandy began her medical career after proudly serving her country in the U.S. Navy for nearly five years. After leaving the service, Brandy attended St. Joseph College in West Hartford, CT, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After graduation, she worked as an ICU nurse at Waterbury Hospital, gaining invaluable experience in Critical Care. After several years of practicing as a critical care nurse, Brandy found a natural progression in her education and healing journey.
Brandy graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Connecticut in 2010. Her career has spanned practice locations, including Hartford Hospital, Bristol Hospital, Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, and Sharon Hospital. During that time, she practiced in Critical Care, Cardiology, Hospital Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Primary Care, Home Care, and Long-term Care.
In 2018, Brandy began her journey in treating patients with addiction and those with behavioral health conditions in the outpatient setting. Addiction is where she found her passion for helping people lead better and healthier lives. With thousands of hours of experience behind her, Brandy knew that the best way for her to continue to help as many people as possible was to open Synergy Advanced Healthcare LLC.
On January 2nd, 2020, Synergy Advanced Healthcare opened its doors and treated its first patients. During the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Brandy, steadfast and determined, decided to remain open and continue to see patients face-to-face in the office. This decision sparked the growth that would propel “Synergy,” as it is affectionately known to patients, to a household name in Torrington and surrounding communities. Patients knew they would be cared for in a safe, warm, and caring environment “where exceptional care is the standard of care.”
Since its founding, Synergy Advanced Healthcare has impacted thousands of lives in Litchfield County and beyond.
