Debbie began her medical career in London, England, where she graduated from the Royal Free School of Nursing and was employed at the Royal Free Hospital for 10 years. After emigrating to the United States in 2003 she attended Sacred Heart University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and worked at UCONN Medical Center in the ICU, as well as St Francis Hospital in the cardiac ICU, dialysis, Emergency Room and informatics where she assisted with designing the cardiology documentation within Epic Systems, for the cardiac cath lab and echo lab.

While working as an emergency room nurse at St Francis Hospital, she began her graduate studies at the University of Connecticut. During her graduate studies, she attended clinical placements in critical care at UCONN Medical Center and the Hospital of Central Connecticut. Following graduation, she worked in the cardiac ICU at Yale New Haven Hospital as one of the first APRNs to be accepted into the CICU. Throughout this time, since 2010, she has maintained her CCRN critical care nurse certification.

Debbie has worked at many of Connecticut’s hospitals, including UCONN Medical Center, St Francis Hospital, Yale New Haven Hospital, Backus Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital, Mount Sinai, Middlesex Hospital, and Hospital of Central Connecticut.

Debbie’s great passion is hormone balance and replacement, where she can make a significant impact on the quality of life of many people suffering from menopause and andropause.
